The McGregor Project Community Development Fund

The Goal

Invest in our community, its people, and the organizations that make the greater McGregor area a great place to live and visit. Support projects that build local capacity and increase self-sustainability.

Eligibility

At this time, the grant is open to nonprofit 501©3 tax-exempt organizations, or those affiliated with a public agency/unit of government (city, school), or churches, operating and/or providing services in McGregor and the surrounding areas, including McGregor, Marquette, and out to Yellow River, Froelich, and Sny Magill.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a 25% cash match of the requested amount.

  • Maximum grant request amount for this grant cycle is $5,000. Award amounts are at the discretion of the TMP Grantmaking Committee and subject to available funding.

What the Fund Supports

  • Capital upgrades: upgrades, renovations, equipment, technology, accessibility and functional improvements that allow the organization to serve more people and run more efficiently

  • Capacity building: efficiency investments, enhancement of internal management, strategic planning for the future

  • Preservation and visibility: beautification and public space development aligned with McGregor’s aesthetic and values, and preservation of McGregor’s history

  • Community betterment: development of public service projects aimed at improving quality of life for residents and promoting tourism for the town

How To Participate

A straightforward process designed to be accessible to every local organization:

  • Submit a proposal – fill out the application on the next page.

  • TMP reviews – includes potential conversation with candidate to better understand organization needs. Applications will be evaluated by a review committee of local residents on a quarterly basis.

Grant notification: Notification will be made to applicants within one week of review. We’ll ask you to sign a grant agreement, and disbursement of funding will follow within 1-2 weeks.

Share outcomes: Submit 1-2 photos of your project along with a paragraph detailing challenges, successes, and community impact.
